Katharine Hits the Slopes

Well, every run was not perfect.......but the snow was soft!!

Daniel was the best! In two runs, he taught Spencer how to ski the "big stuff." Robert had tried all morning without much success!! I guess you just have to know how to do it!

We had a great week at Tahoe. Everyone got out skiing for at least few days. Spencer and Katharine caught on fast and were tearing the slopes up. Robert could hardly keep up---but what do you expect at 50!

Daddy Daughter Dance

We had a great time!!
50 and can still move and boogey all night long!! Katharine's Girl Scout Group having a blast!

Robert and Katharine had a ball, literally, at the annual girl scout dance. Katharine was all dressed up and even good old daddy put on a sport coat----that was a first! Can you believe that Robert can still boogie!! By the end of the night, Katharine had totally worn her dad out.

Pinewood Derby with Spencer

Can you believe that it is already Pinewood Derby time? Well, after the diaster we had last year, Spencer and I started much earlier this year. At least we had the car all painted a few days before the race---but we were still putting the wheels on just ten minutes before it started. We did a little better than last year (when we didn't even make it to the bottom of the race track) but we probably still need to both go to race driving school! We did have fun, however, and Spencer received the "Most Dramatic" award!! Go Spencer---

The First Day of Skiing in 2008

We managed to finally get in a day of skiing. Robby, Daniel and Andrew went to Park City. Of course they forgot their cameras and so we have to believe that they really did do the double triple flips!! I took Spencer and Katharine to Sundance and we had a great time. They both did great!!

Saturday, January 12, 2008

Well the exciting news of this week was when we came home and lo and behold we found a new red vehicle in our driveway. Daniel had found this stunning twenty year old van. Only problem---it did not run. He rented a trailer and towed it home. Two days later, with a new battery and lots of hard work, he actually got it started!! We will keep you posted. Exciting!!

Daniel's Eagle Scout

Daniel receiving his eagle scout award at the Pentagon. The military was everywhere! We had to be escorted everywhere we went. It was pretty exciting. We were very proud of Daniel!!

The End of the Holidays

Tonight, we celebrated the end of the holidays by taking those that are still around out to a fun dinner at a family-style Italian resturant. We had a great time, but got off to a bad start on all our "weight-related" New Year resolutions.
